I have been totally moved by this documentary.
This shows how even programmes like Idol or Popstars, can have a positive effect on countries which struggle for democracy.
A very beautiful and important film that i wish more people will enjoy.

Aakash Nihalani is a modern cubism artist who also has experimented a lot with the art of tape.
Aakash says on his website: I am trying to offer people a chance to step into a different New York than they are used to seeing, and in turn, momentarily escape from routine schedules and lives. We all need to see the city more playfully, as a worl dominated by the interplay of very basic color and shape. I try to create a new space within the existing space of our everyday world to enter freely, and unexpectedly 'disconnect' from their reality.

The american cartoonist and inventor Rube Goldberg inventet the "Rube Goldberg machine". Complex devices that perform simple tasks.. Often it involved at chain reaction of some sort.

Armsrock - Passage/Works in Copenhagen

The danish streetartist Armsrock is on the field again.
This time as a part of the project Lyslyd in Copenhagen.
Excerpt from the webpage:
Danish artist, Armsrock captures the atmosphere and rhythm, the fleeting moments of the city in the form of illuminated life-size drawings.
The area around Bispeengbuen is transformed into a transient city canvas.
If you are in Copenhagen, try and get to see it!
It opens tomorrow at 16.30, Bispeengbuen at Frederiksberg

Armsrock also has an exhibition at We Are Related Gallery at Sankt Hans Gade 19 which runs from 6th of February until the 14th of March. Check it out here

As he is described as one of the major players in street art, I guess it is about time to give him some Tapewormspace.
Above started with street art in the middle of the 90s and has since then been putting his work up in at least 50 cities in over 30 countries. Most known mybe for his arrows, but has made several other things aswell.
